Parks, Trails & Open Spaces
Lexington residents have access to recreational and open space resources both within the city and within the immediate area. The City of Lexington owns and operates two city parks –
Lexington Memorial Park and
Lexington City Park. Our
Public Works Department maintains these two parks. The largest and most popular of the parks is Lexington Memorial Park where softball and baseball games take place throughout the summer months. Lexington City Park is located at 9400 Dunlap ave and includes playground equipment as well as multiple picnic tables.
The City of Lexington plans to explore new park resources, and create trails when opportunities arise. Our community is within close proximity to regional park facilities and trails.
The Rice Creek Chain of Lakes Regional Park is located in the adjacent communities of Circle Pines and Lino Lakes. Anoka County constructed a regional trail along the eastern side of Lexington Avenue at the time Lexington Avenue was re-constructed. This trail connects with the Rice Creek Regional Trail.
