The City of Lexington values our natural resources. We encourage residents and businesses to participate in recycling programs that are available to you. The United States generates approximately 208 million tons of municipal solid waste annually.
About 80% of what Americans throw away is recyclable.
Motor oil never wears out, it just gets dirty. Oil can be recycled, re-refined, and reused again reducing our reliance on foreign oil.
