The City of Lexington's
Liquor Store is now accepting applications for part-time sales associates. If
you are looking for a fun and fast paced job with a flexible schedule and have
an interest in learning more about the Wine, Beer & Spirits industry, then
look no further! Must be available evenings and weekends!
Essential Job Functions:
- Provide our patrons with the very best
customer service and shopping experience while maintaining a positive
attitude with fellow staff members and management.
- Ensure that all cashier functions are
performed accurately and timely while making sure to validate that ALL
patrons are of legal age to purchase alcohol and tobacco products.
- Assist with day to day operations by
restocking shelves and coolers with product while assisting customers with
their needs.
- Maintain the stores high standards for
cleanliness by performing tasks like sweeping and mopping floors, dusting
shelves and bottles, taking out recycling and trash daily and keeping
displays and shelves well stocked and faced.
- Develop knowledge of Liquor, Wine and
Beer and keep up to date with trends pertaining to the industry.
- Comply with all city and state
regulations pertaining to the sales of tobacco and alcohol.
- Perform all other duties as assigned
by management.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Previous experience in operating a
cash register and making change.
- Ability bend and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Available to work evenings and
weekends (including Sundays).
Desired Qualifications:
- Previous experience in retail or
hospitality (preferably in the Wine & Spirits field).
- Flexible schedule.

successfully pass a drug screening and background check before being considered
for employment with the City of Lexington.
Job Types: Part-time,

Pay: $13.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 35 per
week
